Wild prints

I don't think animal prints are "too trendy" if anything they add a bit of sophistication, when properly placed. I reupholstered an extra dining room chair w/ this zebra print to add some flair to the dining area. Along with the chair, I placed a deep plum glass vase shown above. I've had several compliments over this piece including my husband's approval. :)

Wreath for the Holidays

It was difficult to find a wreath to my liking, so instead, I made my own. I purchased a basic twig wreath and leaves, flowers, fruits, some grapes, and a little bird in various shades and sparkles of green. I simply took my glue gun and placed the pieces in place to create my holiday wreath.

Today, I'd rather be...

here. This is located at Staten Island's Botanical Garden. Within the grounds of the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, I'd like to walk home through this canopy of trees any day.

Which reminds me, don't forget the importance of foliage in your home. Additionally, in rooms without any natural lighting its best to include the natural elements of the outdoors.

PURPLE and gray are huge this season and not just on the runway. Purples are great with blacks, browns and grays.
I knew at some point, I'd eventually reap the rewards of nano-technology. I got the green ipod nano and its fairly simple to use featuring touch pad controls. Its so tiny and slim I hope I don't lose it, but now I can dive into full domestication uninhibited while dancing and cleaning in my knickers or is it knickas.

*Also features three games
*1yr warranty*Available for 2,000 song downloads and 4,000 downloads (8 or 16gig)

Splendor in the Grass

The dog of many names: Sweeeet Pea, Buckalupagus, Snuffleumpagus, Buck Nasty, Bubbas, Bubbles, Pumpkin and Buckabee. My cure all. =)

The COACH of Italy

Introducing Furla. If you've visited Italy lately, you would've notice this prevalent accessory on the arms of many Italian women. I recently purchased one in camel in the above style and I use it for everything, from college toting to casual living. Superb quality...I highly recommend it, especially for those who want something a little different.

Feel the teal!

Obsessions. Yes, I have several obsessions, being...teal, turquoise and all the shades in between. Colors of the Caribbean.

I'd rather be......

Art is the world around us, whether its a masterpiece on canvas or candid moments captured in a photo.... we are art and essentially so is nature.

"The heart knows nothing of the mind" - Blaise Pascal

If eyes are the windows to the soul, then this mini library would be the window to my heart. <3

I have a fascination with books. I love this ladder. I immediately imagine an endless hallway composed of shelves accommodating hundreds of thousands of books and there I am in all my glory, rolling down the hallway on a ladder, similar to this. .. looking for the perfect book.

Pair of Gems

Unconventional style paired with traditional pieces. I am a fan of this emerald green! A touch of romantic goth in unassuming colors captures unpredictable and eclectic palettes.

Singing in the Rain....

...Sorta. Outdoor showers. Conventional, innovative and natural. Necessity meets nature.

Sweet Simplicity

Yum! There is something about this cake that I just love. Maybe its the color fade from pink to white or the ribbon frosting. Either way I suddenly feel like baking.
