Flower Power

Flowers...I can't have enough. Word to the wise, if your on a budget or looking to save money, some floral companies will sell bloomed rose buds at a very inexpensive rate. To achieve a simple rounded centerpiece just arrange roses in a short round or square container (many vases will work). Be sure to cut the rose stems under water while snipping off length, this will also promote longevity.

I personally avoid baby's breath as filler. There are many other fillers that provide a simpler and elegant look such as purple caspia, astor, queen anne's lace and greens. Sometimes roses themselves are all you need.

Wall Art - Like Dali

I needed some COLOR and decided to check out some surrealism. One of my favorite artists is S. Dali. This is piece is by Lyamkin Alexander and its titled "Lyrics."

It's elegant without the politically driven messages which inspired much of Dali's work. Instead, a lighter mood results with appreciation and great admiration.

Art in your Bathroom Sink!

Last year, upon a visit to Boyertown in Pennsylvania, we visited Taylor Bacchus Glass Blowing center and gift shop. I haven't been a huge fan of glass, however, these vessel sinks are some kind of wonderful.. I apologize for not being able to locate a website for Taylor Bacchus, but Art Glass Sinks also provide beautiful models as well. Vessel sinks sit above the counter unlike the traditional sinks, which are also available in a variety of colors and hand in blown glass.
